Lineage for Carrasca Z

Carrasca Z (Asca Z x Calato) bred by Hyperion Stud in Virginia is a Mr. GQ of stallions with a personality to match. He is a true gentleman. Hank as he is affectionately known garners the love of everyone who meets him. He loves his sport and will jump anything in front of him. Recently started under saddle it has been remarkable how well balanced, and adjustable he is. Carrasca was recently approved as a stallion by the BWP where he earned one of the highest free jumping scores to date in the BWP Registry and a note that he will be a stallion to watch for in the international ring one day.

Sire Asca Z (Askari x Carthago) is quickly becoming a household name in the world of Showjumping. A relatively young stallion he has plenty of accolades to his name. Just recently this year he was on the winning Belgium Nations Cup Team at Spruce Meadows and has had several top placings in 5* Grand Prixs under Christian Ahlmann. Asca was one of the top stallions the year he was approved in Holstein before being purchased by Zangersheide. He is the product of carefully thought out breeding. His dam is the product of top-class sires, without exception, successively Carthago, Caletto II, Ladykiller xx and Raimond. Sire, Askari has already sired several other international winners such as Aragon and Asca is no different. His eldest offspring are young still with the oldest being 6 years old, but they are quickly becoming sought after in the sport world. Asca is known for passing on much of his positive qualities to his offspring.

Dam Carraleena (Calato x Cantus) possesses a pedigree bred to jump. Approved as a premium mare in the Holsteiner Stud Book she throws top quality offspring. Sire Calato, is a direct descendent of Capitol I and has performed at the international level himself with top results. He is best known as the sire of Olympic champion Coster along with countless other top performing horses. Carraleena’s dam line (Cantus x Landgraf) is no less remarkable as the producers of top showjumpers. Cantus died early before he could reach his peak; however, he left his legacy in his winning offspring. Particulary Calvaro the Olympic medalist under Willi Melliger. Landgraf is one of the most well known foundation sires of Holsteiner often reffered to as “one of the two great jewels in the crown of modern Holstein breeding.”
